When traffic is already backing up into an intersection, DO NOT ENTER THAT INTERSECTION! Also, if there are other lanes open, even if they aren't the one you want to be in, GO IN THOSE LANES FOR CHRIST SAKE!!! DON'T JUST SIT THERE IN THE INTERSECTION LIKE A DEER IN THE LITERAL HEADLIGHTS!!!

Every time I pull up to the Topanga Canyon/Plummer intersection (greater LA area, anyone?) around rush hour, people are doing this. Usually it manages to clear out before I get my left turn arrow. But the day it doesn't....

Someone got their self stuck at a light while waiting to make a left turn. Just sat there when it went red instead of turning. I was waiting at the perpendicular street. Hit the gas and drove behind them since they had my lane (which ends after the intersection) fully blocked. Looked in rear view to see them moving in reverse. Had to laugh as I'm sure they were pissed I forced them to be stuck an extra few seconds.

I know. My dad honked at someone once for running the light in front of him/blocking then intersection, and a cop ticketed him for illegal use of horn. It was at the same intersection as the above event/ this video.
